How to make Dynaudio sound system or Fender sound system work on RCD330G Plus
We know that there are Dynaudio or Fender sound system on Volkswagen produced on some PQ35 and PQ46 platforms, and there is an amplifier under the driver's seat, which works with RNS510 or RNS315.
1. For RNS510 and RNS315 with Dynaudio or Fender sound system activated, Dynaudio or Fender will appear in the startup screen. As shown below.
2. The head unit of Dynaudio or Fender is not activated, as shown below.
If you don't have Dynaudio or Fender sound system installed of RNS510 or RNS315, and you activate the coding of the head unit, you will find that the sound of the song from the speakers will become smaller. This is because after the coding of the sound system is activated, the sound output of the head unit is changed from Voltage Out High(VOH) to Voltage Out Low (VOL).
I want to explain that if your car has Dynaudio or Fender sound system, it can work on RCD330G Plus.
The default coding of the RCD330G Plus sound system not installed, and the sound output is Voltage Out High(VOH). But RCD330G Plus can be changed to Voltage Out Low (VOL). Although the coding of Dynaudio and Fender sound system is unsuccessful for RCD330G Plus, it has a Skoda sound system to choose. If you code as a Skoda sound system, the sound output will be changed to Voltage Out Low (VOL), and the current sound quality will be very close to RNS510 or RNS315, Because the amplifier can work for Voltage Out Low (VOL), The amplifier gain is reduced to 16db.
If you want to be more perfect, you need to use VCDS, cancel the 37-Navigation and 77-Telephone options in the Installation list of 19-CAN Gateway, and then try to clear the error code.
If you have Dynaudio or Fender sound system, and there is no sound after installing RCD330G PLUS, you can try disconnecting the positive pole of the battery for 10 minutes, and then reconnect the battery. Will work fine. The purpose of doing this is to clear the memory of the original encoding of the sound system. If you have VCDS to set related options and clear the error code, you don't need to disconnect the battery.
To make it look even more perfect, I also made Dynaudio and Fender's Volkswagen boot screen. Just to be cool.
Of course, the Volkswagen sound system, Skoda sound system, Dynaudio sound system, Fender sound system have different codings. I think it is not only set separately for the different boot logos, it should be related to the setting of the amplifier. My understanding may not be completely correct, but for reference only.
Hello, I have followed your indications, but in my Passat B6 from 2009 with Dynaudio and RCD330 Plus it does not work, I have to code it as without a sound system for it to sound, can I do something else?

Did you enter the 19-gateway through VCDS, enter installation list, cancel 37-Navigation and 77-telephone, if your original head unit is RNS510, you should also have Super Bluetooth, under your co-pilot’s seat, you need to disconnect Super Bluetooth cable.

Before installing the RCD330 it did all that, canceled 37-Navigation and 77-telephone and also disconnected the Bluetooth Premium module under co-pilot’s seat, but the problem persists, when I code the RCD330 with Skoda Sound System it stops playing, it is strange. Checking the 19-Gateway modules and the 47-Sound System I have no errors. Can you think of anything else? Could it be the firmware version? I have 5532 and I have read in other forums that the Y510 version is the one that works best with Dynaudio, could it be? I appreciate your recommendations.
In the installation list, uncheck 47-Sound System.
Then disconnect the battery again for 10 minutes and restore the connection.

Hi there! I bought a noname 187 B from your ebay store and have been having issues with the Fender system in my '15 Passat. At the advice of a user on another forum I was able to deactivate "Treble Monitoring" through VCDS which helped the audio quality, however I get an error 31 when trying to set Skoda Sound System and will not let me change the setting away from either "No Sound System" or "Dynaudio"
The biggest issue I have, the volume only goes to about half way before the music start clipping and sounding terrible. This happens with FM radio, FLAC from a USB stick, and streaming music through Spotify over both Bluetooth and Android Auto. The original radio (RNS510) went much louder and sounded much clearer at those louder volumes than this radio.

The setting of the Dynaudio sound system or Fender sound system is not possible on the 187B, only the Skoda sound system can be activated.
Skoda sound system can be activated.
The most basic thing all sound systems can do is to change Voltage Out High(VOH) of the head unit to Voltage Out Low (VOL).
If the head unit is a Voltage Out High(VOH) , and then connect the power amplifier (Dynaudio and Fender), it will cause a slight increase in volume and it will pop. To put it simply, the initial volume of Voltage Out High(VOH) is large, and the initial volume of Voltage Out Low (VOL) is small. Many people have verified this conclusion by changing the long code on the RNS510.
After changing the RCD330 plus to the Skoda sound system, the sound quality of the Fender system will still be a little worse than that of the RNS510, but it is already very close.
Therefore, the volume control problem can be solved by changing the long code to Skoda sound system.

3.It has the function of playing CD and DVD.
In summary, it depends on what you need. If you just want better sound quality than RNS510, then RCD330 plus is not your best choice.
Its internal hardware structure is far less complicated than the RNS510. Everyone knows how to improve the sound quality without enough and powerful hardware.
Even so, the sound quality of the RCD330 PLUS+ Fender sound system will not be much worse than the RNS510+ Fender sound system. The sound will not be as good as the RNS510, but it is still acceptable and there will not be a very big gap.
Therefore, most people think that RNS510 is the king of the previous generation, it is outdated.
