Hi, 
I have a 2010 polo, would I need a CANBUS simulator if I was to install this unit? 

and if I would how do you install the CANBUS simulator?

Hi.
You don’t need to install a gateway emulator, just plug and play. There is no battery drain problem. If you have MFSW, every button of it can work for RCD330 plus.
