Hi Ddren, 
I recently upgraded my front vw golf 5 speakers to same set up as before. All plug and play, but the speakers sound worse than the old ones,  the old ones are much louder when you fade front to back. 
I’m trying to work out the problem and if it’s the rcd330, I have 187b with adaptor, do you think it will help to update firmware? Or do I need an amp?
any help appreciated, thanks

Hi
The speaker upgrade is a professional project. I don’t have much experience. A good speaker also needs a good amplifier to work with it. To get better sound, adding an independent amplifier is the choice of many audio enthusiasts.
