HI,
I have a Golf V from 2004 and thus my gateway is too old. Do I need to replace it completly or can I just buy this:
MFSW Control Canbus gateway Simulator RCD330 plus For VW Jetta MK5 Passat
In the description it says
2. If you don’t have MFSW, just the battery drain problem (VW 2005-2009), It can also solve this problem alone.
it doesnt mention 2004 so im wondering if it would still work?

Hello.
If you have a 8-buttons multi-function steering wheel, you will have to install the MSFW gateway simulator.
If you don’t have a multi-function steering wheel, you can either replace the old gateway or install the MFSW gateway simulator.
If you just want to solve the problem of battery drainage, I recommend that you install the CANBUS gateway simulator for the 2004 golf.
