I am having a hard time finding a definitive answer for this. I have a 2015 mk7 Golf with Fender Audio and would like to add CarPlay.   Is the 280B the only/best choice for units?  Is everything plug and play? Backup camera, steering wheel controls… Are there any clear instructions/videos for installation? Do I need to do anything to the glovebox MIB unit?

Hello.
Unfortunately, if your mk7 has a fender sound system, you can’t choose the 280B unit. The fender sound system on the Golf 7 uses a fiber optic interface, so the 280B is not suitable for your car. The 280B is only suitable for Golf 7 without a fender sound system.
