The purpose of adding rear USB is to better hide the wireless carplay dongle and run wireless carplay or androidauto without mobile phone cables. RCD330 plus noname 187B with dual USB ports (master-slave).
We added a rear USB port to the RCD330 Plus, and now we have successfully keeped the front USB port to continue working as carplay, Android Auto and USB Sticker, it can freely switch between the two USB ports without unplugging the wireless carplay adapter on the rear USB port.
Note:
The front USB port is the master and has a higher priority; the rear USB port is the slave.
You no longer have to worry about finding a suitable installation location for the rear USB port. You can place it under the unit or in the glove box. If you want to charge your phone through the USB port and also want to use carplay or androidauto To work, you can plug the phone cable into the front USB port. When you finish working on the front USB port, unplug cable, the wireless carplay adapter on the rear USB port will automatically resume work.

The positives first. The radio looks OEM and was easy to install. The apple car play work great. Steering wheel controls work.
The bad. The screen brightness at max level is very dim in the day time. Actually near unreadable.The unit did not detect my back camera. So had to purchase a hex v2 to activate this option. Figured the radio should have been set up from beginning.
Opinion: if you have limited electronic knowledge I suggest having someone put in another aftermarket radio. In retro spect I would have had a Kenwood installed by someone else. Overall service was fairly good and worked with me to try and solve these problems.
