Hello,
I have a 2009 VW GTI (MkV) that currently has the Premium 7 Stereo Head Unit (my car interior looks like this, including the stereo and steering wheel pictured), and I’d like to replace it with an RCD330 stereo that supports Android Auto. I’m currently thinking the Noname 187B would be the best option. I have done some reading on your website and some other online forums, and I want to make sure that I get the correct wire harness adapter as well as prevent any battery draining issues.
I used VCDS to check my CANBUS Gateway version, and it’s 1K0-907-530-Q. This seems like it’s a late enough version of the gateway that I won’t have any battery drain issues. However, I was wondering if you’d be able to confirm that.
Also, with this configuration, would I need to purchase the CANBUS Gateway Simulator harness adapter in order to use the steering wheel controls? Or is that not a problem due to the version of CANBUS Gateway currently installed?
