If your vehicle was originally equipped with a factory Flip Badge Rear-view Camera (RGB format) and you are upgrading to an RCD330 or any other aftermarket head unit, you will likely need to replace the original camera with a CVBS-format Flip Badge Camera.

The primary challenge during this installation is the trunk release handle connection:

Original Setup: The factory flip badge uses a 4-pin connector for the trunk switch.
New Setup: The aftermarket CVBS flip badge camera typically uses a 2-pin connector.

The Adapter’s Function: This specific adapter is required to bridge the gap between the vehicle’s original 4-pin trunk handle harness and the new camera’s 2-pin plug.
