Installation Guide
- If you’re unsure if this radio fits your car, send us a photo of your original radio.
- For car models before 2009 with 8-button MFSW, you need a CANBUS simulator adapter.
CANBUS Gateway simulator - For car models before 2009 without MFSW, you can replace the gateway to solve battery drain.
Volkswagen Gateway - If you need to install a rear camera, you can purchase it separately.

- For certain models (Passat, Jetta, Beetle, Tiguan 2016-2018), you need an MQB to PQ adapter.
MQB to PQ adapter - For cars with 12-button or 6-button MFSW, the RCD330 Plus installs directly without adapters.
- If your original head unit is RCD510, RNS315, or RNS510, the RCD330 Plus is plug-and-play.
- If your original unit has a factory rear view camera, you can use it with an RGB to CVBS adapter. However, the safest approach is to replace the old camera with a new one.

Both are genuine RCD330plus units. The RCD330 is developed based on Linux, so memory size impact on performance is minimal.

Shipping to the UK was quick (11 days) considering it was free shipping! Replaced an RCD310 with this unit in a 2014 6r polo and all appears to work correctly. Unit turns off and on with ignition key. Red illumination works with the headlight switch and the rear parking sensor display is perfect! These are all the points that didn’t work on my previous Amazon purchase of an RCD360pro!!!!

I have zero complaints about this head unit. Plug and play, works and looks great. Definitely an upgrade from stock. I’d love to rate 5 stars but I’m rating 3 stars due to zero response or communication. I’ve tried reaching out when I made my purchase with a few questions on making sure I bought the right stuff for my car. I tried emailing and I tried WhatsApp. And got no response. Other than that, great products and I’d definitely recommend.

This unit is awesome, and ddren was extremely helpful, trustworthy, and honest. I ordered a RCD330 unit but I waited about a day to order a backup camera as well. Each order has a $40 customs / import fee to the USA, but ddren actually shipped the unit and the camera together and refunded me the $40 customs fee, all without me asking!! Additionally, I had a few questions prior to purchase, and while installing my unit. Ddren was able to answer my questions on both occasions in under 5 minutes, provided pictures, and explained how to install correctly. I had extremely fast shipping to the US, I received my unit here in New England in under a week. I very rarely leave reviews, but this one is truly deserved. I have not had a shopping experience this good possibly ever. Way to go!!
