CarPlay no nav audio
Quote from noogie on March 22, 2021, 4:34 pmHi 🙂
I have RCD330G (6RD 035 187B noname)
I have Dynaudio soundsystem programmed via VCDS as Skoda soundsystem
When using navigation (apple maps, google maps) I can't hear any navigation audio. I have tried different iPhone
Music dips slightly when navigation instruction is being read, during which i can turn the volume knob which says 'Navi (app)' on the volume slider.
But whatever I do there is never any audio for maps
Has anyone had this and know what might fix it?
Thanks!

What is your original head unit? RNS315 or RNS510 or RCD510 do you have a separate Bluetooth module, usually it is under the passenger seat, if there is, you need to unplug this module, it can really stop working, and then delete all Bluetooth in your phone For the successfully paired device, restore the factory settings of the head unit.
The old Bluetooth module will interfere with your call, including the work of carplay.

Quote from noogie on March 23, 2021, 11:48 amOriginal radio is RCD510, I just disconnected the Factory bluetooth unit and deleted all bluetooths from phone. I then went to Setup on radio and did factory settings, changed Language to EN(US) and sadly the carplay navigation audo is still missing - but the song quietens when a direction would be spoken.
When I first installed RCD330 directions worked - So maybe I broke it by switching to Skoda Soundsystem for Dynaudio in vcds?
Anything more I can try?

I tried putting radio back to normal soundsystem with VCDS but still no nav audio.
I changed it back, my long coding is 1C020041010004
