Android Auto disconnects

Hi Folks, Got my 187B with firmware 5614 installed and the rear USB fitted but I'm getting usb disconnects when driving. I've tried 3 different cables as well as the carsifi adapter and sometimes it'll work for 15-20 and other times it's disconnecting and connecting again repeatably. One user on Reddit said he had to change the cable between the unit and the USB port as well as the port so I'm wondering if anyone else is having these issues.

Thanks

I'm getting the same issues. Tried both androind and Iphone and constant disconnects. I have been meaning to tear the unit out and check the cable connections. I posted a similar thread earlier and never heard anything.

Any luck with this issue? I've literally had this unit over a year and it's never worked properly. Constantly disconnecting and reconnecting which makes the phone go nuts and Android Auto to crash. Tried different cables and really just tired or trying to figure this out now. I went for the unit with the optional rear USB cable also, and am not sure if that's causing the constant disconnect issues.

Would really appreciate some help and technical assistance on this...kind of feel like I've wasted a bunch of money on the unit as I'm just using it as a normal (non smart) unit for playing radio.

I've had no response from the dude.

Oh man, Just installed mine today, android auto wont connect to front USB. Very anxious. Should I have bought an ebay rcd330 for half the price instead!

EDIT:: Update - just tried a different cable and it works., weird - had two of the same brand, one bran new and it didnt like them for some reason.
