FAKRA Adapter needed with booster??

Hello - what a minefield this all is!! So now I know there are cloned 330s :)...I have an antenna question.

As I am coming from a UK 2010 Polo, I believe the old unit (310) has twin female fakra and the new 330 has one (hence the twin adapter included?).

However, will this cable bring reception back? I am reading you need a boost cable to retrieve phantom boost where one cable then connects to ignition!!?? I really dont want to lose radio signal so wondered what peoples experience was. Thank you 🙂

The Antenna 2 TO 1 Adapter solves the problem of radio signal conversion.

Thanks. Your video seems to suggest the exact opposite though. You even put a red cross through the 2-1 adapter although that says not for the 330G. Is that another head unit that's different to the RCD330!!?

the thing is, if you connect 2 antennas to the same unit, it will create interferente and worst reception.
you need a combiner hardwate before the single fakra output to connected to the radio.

I'm yet to try, but needs some box like this to jump from one antenna to the other automaticly for better reception. i don't know if they put some booster (probably because of the blue power wire) but diversity only give's you stability more then range. it's like a redundant sistem.

i don't know what is this blue phantom power cable. is it something RCD330 outputs?
