How to install Backup Camera for RCD330 of Volkswagen MK6 Jetta / Golf

Page 1 of 2Next

1. ACC 12V+
2, the positive of reverse light
3. Ground wire.

Finally, you must install the inner cover of the trunk and close the trunk. There is a sensor on the trunk. If you don’t close the trunk, the camera will also have a black screen.

Note: that the No. 5 and No. 6 fuse terminals are small, No. 42 is medium.

How to activate the backup camera function and development test mode of the RCD330G Plus

Thanks a lot for your nice guide.

I have two questions as I am trying to install this on my VW Polo 6R:

1. Can I connect ground wire to the Reversing Light - brown wire?

Is this a good solution?

2. In my quadlock I already have a blue plug with connected wires. I don't know what is this exactly and whether it is necessary for the RCD330.

My factory head unit was a RCD310 which I have replaced with the RCD330. In order to install the camera adapter:

Do I need to transplant this wire to my existing blue plug or can I remove my existing plug and replace it with this adapter?

Hi

1. Yes. You can connect the reversing light - brown wire.  I usually find a ground wire near the camera and connect it with screws. Because this does not require leading wires too far.

2. If you have an original blue plug in your quadlock, you can keep this blue plug, because the quality of the original factory blue plug is usually better than others, you can take out the blue plug that was given to you The pin inside, plug into your original blue plug. Keep the same position.

By the way, that three wires in your original blue plug worked for the AUX of your original unit, and now it is invalid.

Many thanks for your reply my friend.

So.

  1. Is it the safe to connect ground to connect the reversing light - brown wire? Or is it better to find a bolt to connect the ground? I am asking because I have read that attaching the ground to the reversing light - brown wire is not the "proper" solution.
  2. Thank you for clarifying this.

Can the AUX port from the Package B Rear USB for NoName 187B be wired up?

Although it can be done, you need to drill a hole in the back of the motherboard box. I think it will be ugly. In addition, we often listen to the music of the mobile phone through Bluetooth, which is more convenient. If the mobile phone calls, it will start the call and pause the music playing.

Hi,

What resolution camera for RCD330?

How do you thread the camera cable up through the number plate light?
