Prevent RCD330 from handling phone calls
I have an issue where if I start my car engine while someone is making a call in my house then the RCD330 turns itself on and takes over the phone call and plays it out the car speakers. The power button stops responding and there seems to be no way to hand the call back to the person taking it. This is with an Android phone. As it is my technophobe partner she doesn't notice the call is suddenly playing out of the car speakers and I have heard some terrible things!
If I try connect my phone with the usb cable it is ignored and the option to switch phones in settings is greyed out. The only way to get out of the call is to drive out of bluetooth range of my house.
If I deselect the option to use the RCD330 for phone calls in the bluetooth settings of the phone it automatically turns it back on again next time she gets in the car!
Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how to stop it? Is there a newer firmware out that I can use? I couldn't find one online.
