Using Camera with aftermarket Head Unit

Hi, I have a Sony XAV-AX5000 that I have from my old car, it has backup camera support and I just bought a 2012 Golf TdI, and I was wondering if I got the kit that installs this camera would I be able to use it with my Sony Head Unit. Thanks!
