CarPlay calls issues
Hey Ddren! Got my RCD330 just fine here in Oregon, I appreciate all the help with shipping.
I do have an issue that I have been searching online for a solution to no avail. Everything works great, installation a breeze, but currently CarPlay phone calls are not working properly.
My wife and I both have newer iPhones (12 and 12 Pro Max, updated and good to go. Hooking up to CarPlay is easy-breezy, and all apps work except call function. Most of the time callers can't hear each other through the app/speakers, and vice a versa on the respective phone on the other side.
I read that a factory reset could fix it, but that didn't work (reset through menu). I'm investigating whether or not I need to update firmware?
Anyway, thank you again for the amazing service and product, I look forward to the help 🙂

Just heads up, did some research and got CarPlay phone calls working 100% of the time downgrading to firmware 5532 from 5536. I don't see any significant change (brightest setting may even be brighter!).
Super easy; download file and put the unzipped file on a usb stick (no SD Cards!). Plug in USB drive, hold "set up" button till update screen comes up. It will update (some progress #s look funky) until 100%. It will automatically change from Chinese to English and then reboot. After that, it will be running 5532!
Used this file provided by Ddren, so I will be donating $5 to his work here. Thanks again!

Thanks for posting Chris. You helped solve the same issue for me.
One of my radios (both 187B) had firmware version 5522 and had no issues with calls and the other was firmware version 5614 and had the same issue as you are describing when using iPhone 12 Mini (ios 15.1.1)
I updated both radios to firmware 5532 and have not had any issues with either.
