I recently bought the Noname 187B headunit + simulator to replace my RCD500 in an VW EOS 2007.
Originally I had the dynaudio sound system, but recently my speakers died and I replaced the Amplifier and Speakers.
I now have an MTX TX2275 Amplifier with the following specs: https://mtxaudio.eu/products/tx2275/
I've installed the Noname 187B and everything is working fine (Amplifier turns on, wheel buttons are working, I can connect via bluetooth and I see the playing media name, etc) with the exception that I don't have any sound coming out of the speakers.
The Noname 187B has firmware version 5614.
If I reconnect again the old unit, the sound is working fine.
I did some tests via VCDS but none worked.
Does anyone have a lead or a suggestion to help me get some sound out of the RCD330+?
UPDATE:
I needed to enter the full string "1E000440040005" manually and commit the code. After that the sound worked.
A big thank you to ddren for the spectacular technical support and patience. I'm very happy with the products and support.
Can also confirm that simulator resolved the battery drain issue on a 1K0 907 530 K CANBUS (firmware 170).
