Backup Camera signal loss

I have just installed an rcd 330 with a backup cam, both from ddren. Before running the cable to the trunk, I successfully tested the camera, and everything worked properly, including the steering tracking, with it just sort of floating up front. After I ran my cable to the license plate area, before putting back all my trim, I attempted to test the camera, to no avail. How do I diagnose if my cable and/or camera is dead, and if so, where can I get a replacement?
