Rcd330 brightness issue

I have installed a noname rcd330 in my 2006 golf mk5 with a can bus emulator. Everything works great except for the brightness of the screen. I can’t see anything on a sunny day. (The instrument cluster brightness is set to the max) I have tried setting the brightness to a fixed value in the developer options, but I can’t save the settings and it resets on the next drive. I have diagnosed my car with VCDS and there is a broken connection error for the light sensor of the AC which is in the middle of the dasboard (small black plastic). Could this be the problem that this sensor is faulty? If not how can I solve this problem? Thanks!
