MK6 Wiring and Fuses - RCD330 is always powered on
I have a 2013 GTI MK6 USA model.
Installation on the RCD and Flip badge went great. I had to do and redo the install a few times because the videos online missed a bits. I would highly recommend anyone doing this to buy additional trim clips, especially the smaller 16mm ones.
I wired the fusebox to what I thought it was in the pictures that were included. My unit is always on, you have to press the button but it turns on right away even with no key in the car and the ignition off.
Is this normal? Will this drain the battery over time? I noticed the rear USB CarPlay adapter had power to it and was lit up when I tucked it in during the installation.
