I have a 187b that I purchased recently from this site. I installed it in my 2008 Golf R32 (MK5) with the VW premium sound system (10 speakers), no factory navigation or Bluetooth. The radio worked right away but the sound level was too high, as mentioned. I can change the long coding with OBDeleven to skoda (02) and sound system (00), and the sound level drops correctly. However, if I long press the volume knob to reset or turn off the car for a few minutes, the coding stays the same but there is no audio output. I need help figuring out how to keep the audio working after coding and resetting the radio.
Ran into similar problems. Changing the coding just drops the audio output all together for me. I was able to disable the treble monitoring without issue, but could only change byte 00 to Skoda if I also changed the speaker channels to 00 (sound system). At which point it just drops all audio.
